Amy Adams Tries Again at the AFI Awards

We just got done yelling at Amy yesterday and we really don’t want to go down that road again. Especially since, everything we said then still applies with this outfit:

Girlfriend is consistent, we’ll give her that.

Lorenzo thinks she’s somehow not comfortable with her image and tries a bit too hard to pick edgy and attention-seeking looks that she can’t ever quite pull off. Tom tends to agree and thinks she – and/or her team – compounds the problem by not doing anything interesting with the dresses she picks. It’s some slightly off design paired with very basic hair, makeup, shoes and jewelry – almost every single time.

We suspect this dress isn’t really in her wheelhouse – although it’s not the worst thing we’ve seen her wear in the last 24 hours. But we can’t really know because the styling is just so wrong for it. A statement dress calls for some more thought in the accessories and head styling than we’re seeing here. A ponytail, a smokey eye, a pendant, a pair of pumps – literally anything more exciting than the style choices here would’ve helped elevate this look tremendously.
