Benedict Cumberbatch Has the Patented “Marvel Glow” for the “Doctor Strange” New York Screening

Benedict Cumberbatch and his wife Sophie Hunter attend the “Doctor Strange” NY screening.

We realize we keep harping on this – and we swear we don’t mean anything backhanded when we point it out – but he’s really polished himself up to movie star perfection for this poledance.

His hair and face look … great. We don’t know what’s changed. In all non-bitchiness: it could just be good product usage and health. All we know is that he’s got that “Marvel glow” that you see on actors like Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Tom Hiddleston, Sebastian Stan and even Paul Rudd, once he joined the team. Those guys got polished up to near-perfection for their Marvel movie poledances too. We suspect it’s a Disney PR department thing. These movies cost a fuckton and they’re cast to the rafters with male pinups of various types. In retrospect, there appears to have been a concerted effort to make the men really shine during their poledances. It makes sense. There’s a straight male audience built into these films. Cast the hotties and make sure they look spectacular in order to get the ladies and the gays to buy a ticket . Expect Chadwick Boseman to go through the same thing when the Black Panther movie opens.

She really loves a tent once she starts showing, doesn’t she? We suspect this looks better in person, because in photographs, the color and shine tend to work against what looks like a chic simplicity that really suits her.
