American Kittens, you know and we know that none of us are going to be able to avoid the Presidential Election today. And for the vast majority of red-white-and-blue kittens, we know there’s going to be a lot of stress involved. To keep you from obsessively refreshing returns pages or from staring slack-jawed at political pundits running their mouths off and saying nothing worth listening to, we propose the very best and most effective way to keep your beautiful minds free of worry and fear.

We’re talking about shopping, of course.

This was, as we noted many times before, the most fashion-focused presidential election we’ve ever seen. And one of the biggest fashion moments came during the second debate, when would-be First Lady Melania Trump shocked the world by revealing that there is actually a type of garment called the pussy bow blouse.

No, really. It’s a thing.

But despite the poor choice of name and the unfortunate timing of Mrs. Trump’s choice, we maintain that it’s a stylish option for any lady’s wardrobe and it’s more versatile than you think. Sure, you could go the business-like route with it, or pair it with a skirt for something a little more dressy, but personally, we think they look great with faded jeans

So let’s get our retail therapy on, darlings!

See that Melissa McCarthy top? Does that not look fabulous with faded jeans? Wouldn’t almost all of these look good paired with faded jeans? The answer is yes.

Now maybe you’re not in the market for a Gucci or Dolce & Gabbana blouse that costs about as much as your rent (although they’re damn fabulous), but there are plenty of cute, affordable and wearable options out there. Which ones are your favorites and how would you style them?

We will, of course, have a Hillary-themed shopping post up soon. We bet you can even guess what it features.

You gotta be quick, kittens!
