It’s the first week of November and we feel like we’ve been bombarding you with holiday-tinged content lately. Darlings, we swear. It’s not us. The entertainment and fashion industries have got product to roll out and we’re just here to stand on the sidelines, making bitchy comments. If you’re feeling the pressure to be merry and bright long before you want to, don’t blame us.

Anyway, it’s “Almost Christmas!”

It took us a few, because this is so understated, but we like this the longer we look at it. The skirt fabric looks too heavy from where we’re sitting, but we love the pattern, the shape and style, even the detail at the waist – and we’re not ones for waist bows normally. Plus her hair looks great. It needed a diamond bracelet or something like that to bump up the glam.

Oof.

The idea might have worked. We’re talking the basics: white blouse, silver pants, pendants. But the particulars are all wrong. The blouse is businesslike, the pants are absurd, and the rosary-themed jewelry is really dated.

Gabrielle Union in Dion Lee

The cold shoulder trend has now extended to blazers. We didn’t think it possible. But if we’d tried to imagine it ahead of time, we’re pretty sure we’d have come up with something as silly as this looks. Sorry, girl. Luvya, but this look is cray. Also: you forgot your skirt.
