Lily Collins Wears Her Last Dress at the “Rules Don’t Apply” San Francisco Screening

Man, maybe we’re being bitches about it…

But this looks like something you break out at the end of a tour or awards season, when you’ve already worn all the good dresses. Maybe it’s just us, but the color and textile look cheap and tacky; an effect not helped by both a slit to the hip and oversized corseting happening at the same time. Plus it’s shirred and pleated and metallic – all at the same time. That’s asking a lot of a poor little slip of a dress. The length’s kind of awkward too. And we don’t care how many times stylists foist them on the young and dewy, that style of strappy never stops looking a little granny to us.
