This all should be working much better than it is. The idea of Snow White here working a dramatic black gown and matching cape sounds like a no-brainer on paper. But the dress has too much going on to work with such a semi-tricky cape. Ditch the shoulder treatment and mismatched blacks, switch out those focus-pulling pumps for something plainer and starker (oxblood or pewter, maybe) slap on either a killer pendant or a killer pair of chandeliers and you’ve got yourself a look. But this feels mismatched; like the various pieces are fighting with each other. When you go the Vampira route, you want everything to be supremely, starkly simple.
