DARLINGS! REAL QUICK! YELL OUT THE DESIGNER OF JENNA’S DRESS!
Be honest. How many of you said “Marchesa?” You were right, of course, but we want to see how recognizable the brand aesthetic is.
He looks cute, but tired. Or maybe they had a limo J on the way over.
Marchesa’s definitely her bag. This is, in a lot of ways, the quintessential Marchesa, albeit a fairly played-down iteration of the brand. Some of their princess dresses are insanely over the top, but this is pretty in a more or less practical way. The fit in the bust seems a little bit off and the fabric doesn’t appear to travel well, though. We remain committed to the idea that a smart LA and NYC-based entrepreneur could trick out horse trailers to get couture-wearing ladystars to events without have to sit down. Seriously, is there not some former personal assistant or stylist with good connections to get this off the ground? You could put in plush carpeting and little chandeliers! A mini-bar! Mirrored everything!
Anyway, the dress is kind of Barbie-cute and Marchesa-standard, but both her boobs and her natural need to sit down in a vehicle is working against it a little.
