Gwyneth Paltrow in Gucci at the 2016 LACMA Art + Film Gala

Gwyneth Paltrow attends the 2016 LACMA Art + Film Gala honoring Robert Irwin and Kathryn Bigelow presented by Gucci at LACMA in Los Angeles, California.

While it will probably always be our first impulse to roll our eyes when Miss Gwynnie steps out on a red carpet, we may have to tamp it down a little for this one.

Because from the forehead down, she looks pretty damn great. It’s a fun, holiday party-appropriate dress (which is why it’s from a spring collection, of course) that really looks spectacular on her. We’re thinking about her the same way we tend to think about Nicole Kidman’s style brief; namely, that she should stick to blacks and shimmery metallics – what we called the “Disney Witch” aesthetic – because they do a great job of setting off her coloring and making her come alive in pictures. More of this, please, Gwynnie.

But for the love of God, do something with that hair.
