Gabrielle Union attends the premiere of “The Birth of a Nation” during the 2016 BFI London Film Festival at Odeon Leicester Square in London, England.
It looks like this film just couldn’t sustain the weight of all its baggage and bad press, but at least Miss Gabrielle came out of it looking pretty good.
And speaking of looking pretty good (they segued clumsily and awkwardly)…
This may be one of our favorite fall-appropriate red carpet looks ever. It’s a tough thing to evoke the autumn months in standard red carpet style choices, because your options tend to be wintery gowns and dresses. And to be fair, there’s no reason this couldn’t slay at a New Year’s Eve gala. But it feels very right for right now, and that’s not often something we say around this time of year about red carpet choices.
To be fair, we question the way the bodice transitions into the skirt, but that’s really the only criticism we have. It’s a unique dress in a set of colors that happen to look stunning on her. And the rest of the styling, down to the slightly too on-point jewelry, looks fantastic.
You WERQ that autumn gorgeousness, lady.
