Hmmm. It’s pretty, but…

… actually, we don’t know how to finish that sentence. It IS a pretty dress. We don’t believe minimalism in style should necessarily be deployed across the board in real life, but there’s definitely an argument to be made for keeping things simple on a red carpet, even if it means over time the red carpet has become a bit generic in style. And we love a green-and-blue color combo. This really should be setting off a string of HUZZAHs, but we’re not quite sure why it isn’t.

Can we all agree that the footwear is a bad choice? A metallic sandal is really the only thing that makes any sense with these colors and with that somewhat fussy hemline. And the clutch is fairly “comes with purchase.” The jewelry situation is good – and should have been a jumping off point for the rest of the accessories. Hair and makeup are okay, but not over-the-top great.

Basically, she did a fairly un-Emily Blunt thing to do in that she picked a pretty great dress and basically went through the motions on every style choice after that. She doesn’t look terrible, obviously, but the styling leaves a lot to be desired.
