Elizabeth Olsen is that one girl everyone in fashion wants to be, at the Kenzo x H&M Launch

The pajama trend is, generally speaking not among our favorites. It’s one of those things people in the fashion press tend to gush over, as they firmly deny or refuse to acknowledge the fact that almost no one can truly pull it off well.

You can blame people like Elizabeth Olsen for that.

She is that one woman out of a hundred who can walk out in a pair of heels and pajamas and make it look drop-dead chic. She’s what every fashion editor and editorial assistant wants to look like at the moment.

Having said that, the big red drawstring is a mistake and she’d have done well to tuck it in. On the other hand, we think the bag and shoes are well chosen. The former, because it blends in, which is what it needs to do, the latter, because they stand out just enough. Heels with pajamas always makes us think the hotel caught fire and she dashed out into the street at 3 am, but this pair works really well. The velvet footwear trend marries well with the pajama trend, it turns out.
