We’ve always maintained that, when it comes to red carpet or other photo-based dressing situations, if you’re going to wear a white or a black dress, at least pick one that’s interesting.
But we wonder if this one isn’t a little too interesting. Especially when the designer describes the garment with the words velvet, mink, fur and sequin in order, one right after the other.
But even if we ignore the textile concerns, we just think there’s a bit too much going on from a textural perspective. It looks okay from far away, but the closer you get, the more the details start to overwhelm. It’s a pretty shape and style, though. And she can work a white. We’re just not people who can get behind the idea of something called a “fur sequin.”
