The overall effect of the look works better than it probably should, though. The dramatic proportions and contrasting prints go a long way to make it sassy-stylish, but the longer we look at them, the less we think the top and bottom work well together, from a proportional perspective. They look much better with a jacket over it. And no matter who designed it or who’s wearing it, we can’t get behind that tube sock choker she’s sporting. We tend to dislike chokers in any case, but when they look like nautical neckbraces, it’s asking a lot of us.
But still, somehow she looks adorably chic in it, despite our quibbles.
