Scarlett Johansson in Haney at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival

Posted on September 12, 2016

Scarlett Johansson attends the premiere of “Sing” during the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival at the Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto, Canada.

Is it us, or is there something a little off about this look?

The dress is cute – on paper. In real life (or as close to real life as a movie star on a red carpet gets) it comes off needlessly fussy, no? That could have as much to do with Miss Scarlett herself, who never really does all that well with fussy styles. Even so, we can’t quite put our finger on what’s not working here. As we noted last week, super-heavy shoes are having a moment again. It’s not our favorite foot silhouette in the world, but this pair works with the ’70s-inspired style of the dress. Maybe it’s the head styling that’s not setting us on fire?

We don’t know… we certainly don’t hate this look, but it doesn’t feel like it quite comes together for her. Agree/Disagree?
