RuPaul at the 2016 Creative Arts Emmy Awards

TV personality RuPaul attends the 2016 Creative Arts Emmy Awards at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. RuPaul won the Emmy for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program for Logo’s “RuPaul’s Drag Race.”

Seas may rise and fall this week; the sun may go nova or the mountains crumble; death and destruction may yet rain upon us all in the coming days, bringing misery and horror to millions.

And it would still be a fabulous week overall because RuPaul motherfuckin Charles has won himself a LONG overdue Emmy.

We cannot tell you how happy we are for him. And we cannot reiterate enough how long overdue this prize is. We’ve been saying this from the very first episode of RPDR: RuPaul is as polished and professional a variety TV show host as any of the greats in TV history, from Carol Burnett to Tracy Ullman to Cher.

As for red carpet style, we love any man with the balls to show up in a pink polka-dot suit. We just wish he’d buttoned the jacket for picture purposes.

CONDRAGULATIONS, darling. We can’t remember the last time an award felt as deserved as this.
