Oooooh, girls! We rambled all the hell over the place this week! Get a pot of coffee going, because these two bitches have things to say.
First, we need to make an introduction. If you follow our social media, you might have heard that our longest-serving Feline Editorial Assistant, Miss Aoife, left our employ this week after 18 impeccable years of service.
We are, as to be expected, quite sad to see her go.
But life goes on and for reasons we’ll explain in the podcast, we immediately filled the position. Meet the newest Feline Editorial Assistant (and the first boy hire):
It’s okay. Take a minute. It’s a lot to take in.
Anyway, we had quite the emotional week on the pet front and we couldn’t help but turn over the first ten or so minutes of this week’s show into Cat Style Opinionfest, but we hope the above visual aid explains why. After we get all the cat talk out of the way, it’s on to the usual subjects: drag, fashion and hookers.
First, we spend way more time than we thought we had in us talking about last night’s “Snatch Game” episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race All-Stars (visual aids below), including a fair bit of ranting on Adore’s attention-seeking stunt.
Then, we’re off to the races on the whole “Gay Bachelor” non-scandal, which is all about how Robert Sepulveda (pictured above on the right), the subject and lead of LOGO TV’s new reality dating competition, Finding Prince Charming (yuck) has a porny, hookery past and we have a lot of really judgmental things to say about that. And full disclosure: we didn’t realize the extent to which that past has a whiff of racism to it, so its non-inclusion in this conversation should not be taken as a comment on its importance.
And finally, we hand the mic over to Lo so he can explain some of this thinking and work behind our “Translating the Trends” posts, with a promise to the boys in our readership that we’ll have a menswear version very soon.
That’s right, darlings. One big, massive bitchramble.
