Monique Lhuillier celebrated her 20th anniversary as a designer with her spring 2017 collection in the only way that made sense: by revisiting the very styles and silhouettes that helped her make her name as a womenswear designer. The dresses are flowy and feminine, ranging in tone from pretty princess dresses to peignoir-inspired gowns to out-and-out lingerie dresses. As always with Monique Lhuillier, the vibe is highly romantic, but this time out, there’s a darkly sexy undertone to it.
