Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick Light Up the London Eye

“Trolls” stars Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake light up the London Eye in London, England.

Because how else are you going to promote your troll movie?

We dub these efforts “half-assed.” Granted, we’re not sure what type of getup would be whole-assed for a promotional appearance like this one. We certainly aren’t suggesting a tux and a gown. The issue here isn’t that they’re not dressed up enough, it’s that their choices are kind of bland. We’d like her dress if it was at least a few inches shorter. The shoes are nice enough, but the color is bland and it’s a mistake to wear an ankle strap with a mid-calf hem. Nothing she’s wearing does anything for her coloring and the whole look is in desperate need of a statement piece of jewelry. Weirdly, she picked an outfit for a promotional appearance that has the effect of making her recede into the background; exactly the opposite of her goal for this event.

He’s fine in a dully casual sense. But it’s a weird thing to sport a pocket square and an untucked shirt in the same look. Tuck that thing in and put on a belt, Justin. Also, it would be nice if you could go a couple of minutes without a naked display of your need to be loved. We’re just saying.
