Florence Welch attends the GQ Men Of The Year Awards 2016 at Tate Modern in London, England.
We could use a little Flo right now.
We’ve more than made the point, over and over again, that we’re sick and tired of the over-embroidered and over-applique’d “forced whimsy” trend of the past season. But if there’s one celebu-lady alive who was born to wear boob-leopards, it’s Flo Welch.
This is her style and her style only, is what we’re trying to say.
If anyone else wore this dress, we’d roll our eyes and/or bitch about either the leopards or the big bow sash or the deployment of way too many ruffles. But when Flo wears it, we’re all “Welcome home, darling. We missed you.”
Yes, it’s a hideous dress made worse by a pair of even-more-hideous shoes, but it’s so colorfully Flo; so very right for her looks and style. Put it this way: We’re glad she got to this dress before someone like Salma Hayek got a crack at it.
But she’s quite the label whore tonight, isn’t she?
