Christina Hendricks attends the Naeem Khan Spring 2017 Fashion Show during New York Fashion Week at Moynihan Station in New York City.
Well now, this is kind of frustrating:
Here, she picks a great item for herself – or in this case, had a great item handed to her for which she’s well suited – and the styling is all wrong for it. As we see it, she could have gone either of two ways here: She could have worn the coat closed, as a sort of tunic, and paired it either with high boots or a pair of pants. Or she could have worn it as a coat, over a dress or other ensemble, but left it open to show the contrast and the outfit underneath. She split the difference. It’s an interesting pseudo-tunic with an incongruous bit of sheer fabric peeking out from the hem. It’s still a good choice for her, but the way it’s being worn works against it a bit.
