Chris Pratt at the premiere of “The Magnificent Seven” during the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival in Toronto, Canada.
Like taking pictures of a ten-year-old boy:
Chris, stand still. It’s okay. You’re a movie star now.
He cuts a great figure in a suit. And we’re big proponents of the idea that male stars should refrain from dressing like they’re on a job interview, so he gets points for not wearing a blue or black suit with a white shirt and calling it a day. Granted, a gray pinstripe isn’t exactly outside the realm of office wear, but by pairing it with a shirt and tie that provide some contrast, color and pattern to the look, it instantly comes off more stylish to our eyes. Our only issue is with the colors that were chosen. We think you can wear a checked shirt with a pinstripe suit, but it’s perhaps asking too much of the eyes to pair a brown check with a gray pinstripe. It’s a minor quibble, though. We’d have rather seen a more gray-friendly color choice, but we’re happy to see a guy on the red carpet who doesn’t look like he’s waiting for Human Resources to tell him where to go.
