Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge visit the island of Saint Martin’s in the Isles of Scilly, UK.
Blue blazers over white shirts, tan pants on him, beige shoes on her. Of course, the frequency with which their outfits tend to match could just as likely be attributed to their clear preference for those three colors than to any sort of precise planning on their parts. Still, they’re both savvy enough to know the power of clothing in their image. If Grandma Betty herself can make style choices based on how well she can be seen by a crowd or in a picture, and since Diana practically defined herself by her style choices, we don’t find it impossible to believe that there’s a bit of an effort to present a united front and a sense of tight family bonds by dressing in highly complimentary outfits. Most couples tend to avoid going out in matching looks, but with these two, it makes a clear sort of sense.
But like we said, it could just come down to their shared love of beige, navy and white. They are just that bland, after all. Their family colors are all neutrals, bless their hearts. Bill and Cathy. That nice couple from across the way.
Love her sassy pants, by the way.
