See, we thought her round of poledance looks from the other day were some of the best looks we’ve seen from her in ages. This? This, we’re not so sure about. The dress is this strange and unlikely melange of nightgown, figure-skating costume, and craft project gone awry. It’s got some great qualities, like the color and the … actually, we’re gonna have to stop there.

We tend to like textural garments for the red carpet because they photograph better, but this has got a part lizard skin, part tissue paper feel that’s distracting more than it is engaging. And the sparkle-trimmed neckline is straight out of a store-bought Disney princess costume. That’s probably the most distracting thing of all to us.

We realize of course that we’re nitpicky bitches. This look is definitely good on paper, so to speak. We’re just not in love with the details, which tend to overwhelm the look. Anyway, we put it to you to make the final assessment.
