San Diego Comic-Con 2016 IN or OUT: Lupita Nyong’o in Givenchy at the “Black Panther” Panel

Darlings, we put this one to you:

Because we’re just not sure ourselves.

It’s kind of …  muddy, no? We feel like it takes considerable squinting and staring to take all the details in. They’re either too dark or too obscure to make sense of, so the dress just feels like a mish-mash of elements. We especially don’t like the wide, buckled straps with the semi-clashing floral pattern or the horrible zipper running down the front. But she can make almost anything sing. And we do love the hair – although we expect pushback on that.
