Kelly Ripa launches her Kelly Ripa Home Collection for Macy’s at Macy’s Herald Square in New York City.

Believe it or not, as bland as this is, we actually wound up disagreeing over it:

Tom was all “Cathy Cambridge would turn this down for being too dull.”

Lorenzo was all “It’s classic and totally appropriate for the setting. And also dull, but that’s not the point here.”

Since we always argue that one should choose one’s outfit based on one’s goals and the setting one will find oneself in (the ones kinda got away from us there, sorry), Lorenzo absolutely has a point. She’s there to hawk her line of home goods and high-fashion fierceness or mega-glam sexy would not have been the way to go. Even so, she didn’t have to go so modest and safe in the styling. At the very least, a bracelet, a belt and a pair of sandals could’ve gone a long way to zhuzhing this look up.
