Vera Farmiga in Gucci at “The Conjuring 2” LA Premiere

Posted on June 08, 2016

Vera Farmiga attends the premiere of “The Conjuring 2” during the 2016 Los Angeles Film Festival at the TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX in Hollywood, California.

At first, we just rolled our eyes at this ensemble and said, “There goes crazy ol’ Vera again, wearing something that looks like a ’70s schoolteacher in the throes of an acid trip,”

Note: We didn’t actually say that, but we thought it. Some of it. Anyway, look:

For obvious reasons, all our attention focused on that blouse, which resulted in the assumption that it was the reason why this outfit looks frumpy and weird. But the blouse could actually work and come off fun and funky with the right kind of styling. Those pants and shoes do nothing at all for it. Pair that thing with a dramatic maxi skirt/big belt combo and it would suddenly work a lot better. Or with skinny pants, booties, and a cropped jacket. Not those generic pants and Payless shoes. Come on, girl. You can do better.

Also, the jewelry and bag feel kind of random, don’t they?
