Cate Blanchett attends the 2016 Tony Awards at The Beacon Theatre in New York City.
On the one hand, we’re grateful to Cate for bringing some edginess to the fairly conservative red carpet of the Tonys.
On the other hand, that may just be the most hideous FrankenDress we’ve ever seen. Credit to her for having enough poise and internal sparkle to not come out of this looking horrible or deranged, but not even she can make this work for her. It is an unholy, unliving hybrid of deceased dresses. A glitch in the fashion matrix. An abomination. A thing that should not be seen and cannot be unseen. It needs to be burned on the spot and the spot salted for a generation.
What we’re trying to say is that we don’t like this dress.
