The buzz is good on season 2 of UnREAL, which premieres tonight on Lifetime, and these two ladies have been poledancing like crazy to keep that buzz going. And bless their hearts, they’re making interesting and discussable style choices along the way. Thank you, ladies. From the bottom of our bitchy blogger hearts.
Now let’s judge.
Shiri Appleby and Constance Zimmer attend the Lifetime “UnREAL” Group Date and Champagne Brunch Aboard Dandeana Yacht with Cast and Executive Producers in Celebration of Season Two Premiere in Marina del Rey, California.
Okay, this isn’t the worst iteration of the dreaded side cutout but even so, those things are working hard to make us not like this dress. The hem’s not helping. Nor is the hair, for that matter.
The Rockstuds can go. Sorry, but we have to be blunt. The ensemble is very “ladies who lunch” but we don’t find that to be an inappropriate choice, given the venue.
Okay, so maybe their day look weren’t the greatest, but they really stepped it up for the screening!
Shiri Appleby and Constance Zimmer attend the Emmy FYC Screening with the “UnREAL” Cast and Executive Producers hosted by Lifetime at Harmony Gold Theatre in Los Angeles, California.
We actually really like the dress. And the more we look at the shoes, the more we support picking that color to pull out of the dress. But that style of shoe just doesn’t really go with that style of dress, does it? Wouldn’t a pair of pointy-toed pumps in that same color look more sophisticated?
And we’re not sure the porcelain doll hairstyle is working either.
We’re sighing. For real. This is way too conservative and borderline dowdy for an Emmy screening of your show. We’re not suggesting she sex it up or shoot for something trendy or fashion-forward, but this is “bank president’s wife at the Christmas party.” You can do better than this, Constance.
Despite our bitchery, we’re really looking forward to the show, ladies!
