“Orange is the New Black” actress Laura Prepon attends the Museum of the Moving Image honoring Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos and Seth Meyers at the St. Regis Hotel in New York City.

Darlings, what do we all think of this? We’ll go first.

The jumpsuit is cute enough, considering it’s a lace jumpsuit and all (although that could just be some form of fashion blogger Stockholm Syndrome talking). We find ourselves appreciative of the changes made. We could take or leave the straps, but it’s the raised hem of the pants that really stands out for us. For as long as we’ve been writing about fashion, the de rigeur way to wear flared pants is to have them sweep the ground, covering the wearer’s feet and making them look like horses from the knees down. We like that she’s not doing that here, although we’re not entirely convinced that the flare is flattering. Plus we don’t think black pumps were at all the right choice for footwear. Something like this really calls for a good pedi and a sandal. And while the clutch is adorable (if a little twee), we don’t think it really works with this garment. You need a funkier look to make a clutch like that work.

And yet, she’s made so many bad red carpet choices over the years that we find ourselves full of relatively good feelings about this one. Yes, all the critiques we made still hold, but all in all, it’s not bad.
