Selena Gomez for Marie Claire Magazine

Selena Gomez covers the June 2016 issue of Marie Claire Magazine photographed by Kai Z Feng and styled by Alison Edmond.

Kittens, assemble. We’re gonna need a ruling on Selena Gomez’s makeup on the cover here. It kinda doesn’t look like her?

On how she deals with agents and managers: “Authenticity is my life. They make great choices, but I make the decisions.”

“I’ve been dating. I’ve been having the best time. But I don’t trust anybody, so dating can only be fun if I know I’m going to have fun.”

“I would try to promote something that I loved, and the entire interview would be about my personal life. I would leave a room feeling defeated, feeling embarrassed, but I would always make sure to put that smile on my face because I wasn’t going to let them get to me.”

Also: she sounds a little … annoyed or something? Not that a gal’s not allowed to get pissed now and then. In fact, if she heads further down this road into fuck-the-haterz territory (which looks like a distinct possibility) we might have some newfound respect for her. There’s just nothing better than a Disney princess growing up and getting pissed off, is there?

Style-wise, these are all cute looks that really suit her hippie-lite pop princess style. We’re just not sure about the Marie Osmond face staring back at us from the cover.
