We don’t have a problem with this.

Oh, there are quibbles, darlings. You know us. There are ALWAYS quibbles. First, Crowe needs to keep that jacket buttoned in every picture-taking situation, doubly so because he chose to forego a tie. We don’t mind that he’s tie-less, but if you’re wearing a suit, you only get to leave one of your shirt buttons undone. We don’t make the rules. Oh, wait. We totally made that one. But it’s a good one, especially for a men over a certain age. It starts to look sleazy. Also, if you’re sporting the wide-legged suit, you need a substantial pair of shoes to give the look visual balance. Big laceup motherfuckers, not these weird little slip-ons.

The Gosford is more or less perfect. We find the tie to be a bit on the twee side, but then again, isn’t the Gosling himself rather boytwee?

Overall, they’re appropriately dressed, in clothing that fits them, and groomed as if they gave a shit. That’s more than you can say about a ton of male stars on the red carpet.
