Miss Ri seemed to take a much more laid back approach to her style choices for this one. On the one hand, it’s nice to see a lady pop star wear actual clothes instead of fantasy-based costumes to an event like this. On the other hand, we’re a little underwhelmed.
This is kind of cute. The shoes are a bit much for the look, but given the venue, we’re not about to complain. They’re the only thing that takes this look somewhere other than “Women in Entertainment Luncheon.”
Don’t get us wrong. We’re fully supportive of her “I’m not going out there without my pants on” stance, if that’s what a gal wants to do. And a Mugler tuxedo with a marabou neckline sounds, on paper, like it would make for perfect stagewear. To be fair, it gives her a nice sort of “torch song chanteuse” feel, but it still feels like something’s lacking here.
Can’t really argue or quibble with that. That’s a hot dress and those hoops are pure FIRE.
She may have gone a bit low-key by Ri standards, but if nothing else, we dig that all three of her looks seem to have been relatively comfortable for her.
