Look who’s feeling all sassy and modern!
It’s a far cry from her Lady Mary togs, that’s for sure. Which isn’t to say we’re in love with it. On the contrary; we have an extra special dislike of jumpsuits that work hard to convince you they’re separates. We ask the same question every time we encounter one of these things: What’s the point? If you want to wear separates, go ahead and wear them. Why make your potty time all that much more complicated by wearing separates that have been stitched together? And why wear a jumpsuit with a big cutout right at the waist? It’s a shame, because the top half is actually quite pretty.
Having said that, we’ll give this look some begrudging credit for managing an effective image shift for her. It’s not a great design, but it’s a very modern one.
