Caitriona Balfe attends the “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology” Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
… but HELLACIOUSLY underwhelming.
Girl, you should’ve asked your show’s Costume Designer to whip up something jaw-dropping for you. We know you can wear hard-to-wear dresses, so you could’ve rocked some avant-garde take on 18th Century fashion, landed on all the best dressed lists, AND secured your show some sweet publicity.
Instead you chose this. Meh. On another, more conventional red carpet we might be inclined to like it more – the skirt’s at least a little interesting – but you’re playing in the fashion big leagues now, lady. You needed to step up your game considerably.
