“Game of Thrones” actress Maisie Williams attends the 2016 House of Fraser British Academy Television Awards at the Royal Festival Hall in London, England.
After last night’s Game of Thrones, all we want to say when we look at this picture is…
A girl has no dress sense.
But she’s young, and every young woman needs to learn that the tulip skirt was, in fact, created by Satan to torment and taunt them, right? Or at least, that’s what we glean from observing the likelihood of tulip skirts actually becoming a trend any time the fashion industry tries to push them as one. It seems to remain on the runways and magazine pages far often than we spot it in the wild, so to speak.
It’s not a terrible shape for her, truth be told. It’s just that it has a somewhat casual, day-dress feel to it, with the shape and the high waist.
Looking at the look book shot, we think it might have benefited from the accompanying jacket to give the look a bit more heft and a bit more formality. Not to mention color, because pink doesn’t seem to top the list of colors that should be on her go-to.
We don’t know. We don’t hate it. It wouldn’t have been our recommendation to pick it at all, but once she had, we’d have gone all in on more aggressive styling.
