Jennifer Lawrence attends the New York premiere of “A Beautiful Planet” at the AMC Loews Lincoln Square in New York City.
We’re feeling some type of way about this whole look, darlings.
And we actually started off this post thinking we were going to throw it out for an “IN or OUT” vote, but the more we take it all in, the more declarative our take becomes. Girl, this is SO not your look.
There are only two things we might argue are just plain bad: the ugly shoes and the hairstyle. We feel the shoes require no argument because their awfulness is self-evident (to everyone but J Law and her stylist, it would seem), but we’ll state our case for the hair. It doesn’t frame her face well, the color washes her out and the cut makes her look like she has thinning hair, which we don’t think is remotely the case. It’s just a plain bad cut, to our eyes.
We don’t actually hate the dress. It’s interesting without being weird about it. But it seems more in Julianne Moore’s wheelhouse than Jennifer’s. The makeup isn’t bad, but it totally looks like someone else’s face was drawn over hers.
Jen, sweetie, we say this with love and concern: This is not the direction your style evolution should be going.
