Emilia Clarke in Alexander McQueen at the “Refugee” Exhibition Opening

“Game of Thrones” actress Emilia Clarke attends the opening of “Refugee” at The Annenberg Space For Photography in Century City, California.

Darlings, we could not possibly be more grateful to Miss Emilia for choosing this dress.

Because it embodies practically every single red carpet trend of the moment. Or at least, all the ones we hate.

It is: 1)black, 2) sheer, with undergarments perfectly visible, 3) a Frankendress mishmash of about a dozen different style motifs, and 4) complete with its own touch of forced whimsy, in the form of that emoji belt (which, okay, no one appointed us his spokespeople on earth, but we’re pretty sure this belt is causing Alexander McQueen to shriek in rage from the afterlife).

Having said that, we think that skirt’s got real possibilities. Ditch the top half, keep the skirt, and build a better outfit from there. What would you recommend?
