Mrs. Cathy has been very busy this week, and like a good sort-of princess, she’s got an outfit for every appointment. She’s still taking the opportunity of her trip to India to be a little bolder in her style choices, but we’d count some of these choices as stumbles.
Very pretty. It’s modest in that Cambridge way, but the boldness of the design is a welcome change for her.
Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge lay a wreath to honour the soldiers from Indian regiments who served in World War I at India Gate in New Dehli, India.
It’s a solemn occasion, so it makes sense that she’d revert to form. But even so, she didn’t have to choose something so dull. At the very least, a non-nude pair of shoes would have been welcome.
Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge particpates in an arts class with street children at a contact centre run by the charity Salaam Baalak, which provides emergency help and long term support to homeless children at New Delhi railway station in New Dehli, India.
We like this. We doubt she’d ever wear it back home (not for an official appearance, anyway), but it makes for a great day dress. Of course she’d wear it with nude flats. Sometimes we think this gal is terrified that any color appear on her feet.
Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge meets Prime Minister of India Narenda Modi in New Delhi’s Hyderabad House in New Dehli, India.
This is, we’re sorry to say, one of the worst things she’s ever worn. It’s not surprising that someone who places so many restrictions on her style can take it a little far when she gives herself permission to loosen up. She doesn’t have the most advanced sense of color because she rarely allows herself anything but very easy-to-wear blues. We don’t love the style of the dress at all, but we’d find it less offensive if these colors weren’t so awful on her.
LOL at the shoes. Even in an eye-searing dress, this Duchess isn’t going to part with her precious nude heels.
