Zendaya Coleman attends Nickelodeon’s 2016 Kids’ Choice Awards at The Forum in Inglewood, California.
In which T & Lo admit that they have hit the wall on the whole “random embellishments that have nothing to do with each other” trend in fashion.
While Miss Zendaya will always get props from us for bringing her A game to the red carpet every single time she steps out on one, that doesn’t mean we think she gets it right every single time.
Personally, we think this is a bit off for a Kid’s Choice Awards red carpet, although this particular event tends to bring out ensembles that range from Saturday-errands casual to your basic “celebrity semi-formal.” This falls near the latter category on the scale, but it feels a little mature and serious for an event like this one. Plus, it’s kind of an odd dress. That’s not a terrible thing to be, but in this case, it’s odd in a distracting way. Her torso looks like an owl and the skirt feels like it belongs with a different top. And the shoes really don’t go at all. They’re too focus-pulling and the style doesn’t quite match.
The head styling is gorgeous – as it usually is with her – but everything below that is distracting and discordant.
