Sarah Paulson in Philosophy at PaleyFest Los Angeles

Posted on March 21, 2016

Sarah Paulson attends The Paley Center for Media’s 33rd Annual PaleyFest Los Angeles – Closing Night Presentation: “American Horror Story: Hotel” at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California.

Darlings, when a lady celeb does you the honor of calling you mean in the pages of the New York Times, you tend to feel compelled to devote more attention to her. If for no other reason than to thank her for the exposure and give her a tiny little bit back.

But mostly to judge her, of course.

And we deem this to be acceptable.*

The overall effect is a bit dour, but that’s occasionally her thing and she seems to be moving into Serious Actress territory at this point in her career, so a little bit of style sobriety is not unheard of for someone having a career moment. And besides, this is not a high glamour event. If anything, she’s a skosh overdressed. Also, we’d probably like it more if the hem was raised a bit.

We like the hair – although we think she looks much better as a brunette – but isn’t the makeup a little overdone?

* Not that Sarah gives a shit herself.
