Let’s all be nice this time.
We’ve been fairly hard on her as of late, due to the somewhat extreme thirst and need for attention in a lot of her public appearances. We can’t say we love everything about this look, but we can say this is the first time in a while she looks … well, kind of elegant, actually.
Yes, we’re surprised to be typing that. Don’t worry. We have quibbles. For one: white – even an off-white like this – wouldn’t have been our first choice for her. Second, the gown is very pretty, but it’s yet another frock on a red carpet with a neckline plunging far deeper than it needs to go. Again, we don’t say this for prudish reasons. Set those muffins free if that’s what you’re feeling. We won’t judge. But the deep neckline plays against the more elegant feel of the gown and if you have to use a very noticeable modesty panel to literally keep it together, maybe it’s not the right design element for this dress. Also, it probably could use a thin belt or sash to finish it off.
It is pretty, though. What are the kittens feeling about her makeup? Does the dark lip work for you? We think it bumps up the drama factor and keeps from washing her out.
