“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” actress Amy Adams attends the 2016 Vanity Fair Oscar Party Hosted by Graydon Carter at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills, California.
Darlings, if you’ve been reading us for any length of time, you might have noticed that we’re consistently disappointed with Miss Amy’s rather narrow range on the red carpet. She plays it way too safe, in our opinion, and her choices rarely evoke gasps or provide memorable moments. It’s all highly serviceable and gets the job done, but we’ve been pleading with her to expand her range of looks to try out.
But even we have to admit, of all the various style archetypes we’re convinced she needs to try…
“1960s Burlesque Star” never even made the list. Seriously, all she needs is black satin elbow length gloves and tassles hanging off the bust. Gentleman and ladies, The Flamenco Room is proud to present Miss Dusty Flame.
And yet… this is kind of fabulous? Or at least it has some serious personality, no? We’re not saying it’s pretty, but it’s memorable and we can’t say she looks bad in it. We’re not convinced she’s comfortable in this getup, but she should console herself with the fact that it’s the most interesting thing we’ve seen her wear in years. Borderline tacky, sure. But she’s one star who could use a little more honky-tonk in her style.
Versace had a good showing that night. Their team must’ve been working ’round the clock.
