Nice to see Miss Penelope bringing her A-game to this poledance. She doesn’t always wow us, but she makes more good choices than bad.

Come, let us all discuss our quibbles together, like a family.

Penelope Cruz attends the Berlin Fan Screening of “Zoolander 2” at CineStar in Berlin, Germany in Balmain.

Honestly? It’s a little tacky, but we can’t help leaning more towards seeing it as “fun,” which is something stylish people call tacky items that they like. It’s more than a little over-designed and from straight-on, it turns her figure into a rectangle (which she most certainly is NOT), but the color looks great on her and it’s nothing if not unique for a film premiere. Put it this way: it’s a bright green suede minidress with corseting and it’s nowhere near as horrible as that description makes it sound.

This, on the other hand, strikes us as a fairly safe choice; like something a RuPaul’s Drag Race finalist wears at the end of the competition. It’s low-key glam and sort of faux-elegant (for a Versace). It’s not setting us on fire but it’s not making us mad either. It’s just a solid movie star kind of gown.
