Regardless of what the press release says the show is about, it sure looks like “Carrie Bradshaw Wanders the City, Depressed” to us. Any show or movie in which Sarah Jessica Parker is asked to walk the streets of Manhattan in designer clothing is inevitably going to suffer the comparisons, which is why we found it so puzzling that she’d opt to do a show like this. Then again, the tone might be completely different for all we know. And the Carrie Bradshaw drag may even be a deliberate choice to evoke her most well-known character in order to turn the audience’s perceptions and expectations upside-down. We’ll just have to see, won’t we? One thing’s for sure: Carrie’s worn a lot of ugly things, but we’re pretty sure she’d rather die than wear that dress. Fab coat, though.
