Darlings, it’s FASHION WEEK once again! And if you’ve been a T Lo reader for any length of time, you know what that means, don’t you? Yes, site outages and downtime as T & Lo try to remember to eat while running from one end of Manhattan to the other! Yay! It’s our own little twice-yearly tradition!
So we figured we’d spend more than a little bit of time this week explaining the ins and outs of New York Fashion Week for two hard-working and insanely handsome bloggers; how to get invited, what to wear, and what it’s like to jostle for your seat or even a tiny little patch of floor to stand on, all so you can watch the pretty and not-so pretty dresses that parade in front of us. It’s every bit of inside scoop we can think of.
Then, we provide spoiler-light mini-reviews of the “Brooklyn” film, starring Saoirse Ronan and “American Crime Story: The People vs. O.J. Simpson,” both of which are T Lo recommended and well worth your time, in our slightly humble opinions.
And finally, continuing our Oscars-ology posts, we turn our judgmental eyes to Supporting Actress Nominee Alicia Vikander:
And while we did manage to suss out some themes and motifs that tend to recur in her style choices, we come to the conclusion that she’s still too much of a wild card to predict how she’s going to show up on the big night. It’s a foregone conclusion that she’ll be wearing Louis Vuitton, since she’s contractually obligated to them, but it’s almost as certain that she’ll be wearing something custom made for her, based off of the spring 2016 collection. We settled on the following three looks as possible directions for her to go:
But don’t hold us to that, darlings. Unless we turned out to have been right.
So yes, dolls. It’s the usual kaffeeklatsch of opinionating.
Thanks once again for all your support, kittens! And if you are so inclined, you can download/subscribe to the podcast here.
