IN or OUT: Brie Larson in Emilia Wickstead at the Academy Awards Nominee Luncheon

Darlings, we have a question for you. When we recoil in horror from this outfit…

… are we being bitches?

We admit, at first glance, we thought it looked cool and a little edgy, but then we got in closer on that skirt and narrowed down just what the hell those things are to two possibilities. Either she’s got beaded eyes on her skirt or she’s got beaded pill bugs. Somehow, neither of those possibilities seem like the better one to us. Additionally, when we move in closer on the top half, we go from thinking it’s a kind of retro-sweet idea to some horrible ’70s home-sewn mistake. Basically, we like this look from about 20 feet away and like it a little bit less with each step toward it. When we get up close, we hate it.

It’s up to you now, darlings. Carry the torch. The Torch of Judgment.
