Florence Welch attends the BRIT Awards 2016 at The O2 Arena in London, England.
Miss Flo, we tend to give you a lot of leeway when it comes to your style choices. After all it’s not easy to blend high-end fashion and haute couture with your particular style melange of rocker/boho/romanticism and more often than not, we wind up appreciating the attempt so much we’re willing to forgive all sorts of sins.
But no more.
No. Not even you, dear.
While we admit, we gay-gasped at the kitty shoes, the fact of the matter is, they’re the only thing we kind of like out of this whole ensemble – and they absolutely don’t go with the look at all. Those adorable shoes with a pair of capris? Darling, you more than have our permission. Those adorable shoes with a cheapass-looking gown that doesn’t even look like it belongs on the same continent as you, let alone on your body? Absolutely not. It’s possible we could be convinced on the cape, but not with that creamy satin nightmare of a gown. And besides, it looks way too much like a tablecloth or something you put on an altar in a church. The clutch, of course, goes with a different outfit entirely. Sweetie, none of these belong with each other and half of them are kind of ugly. Tsk.
