Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds attend the “Deadpool” fan event at the AMC Empire Theatre in New York City.
Feh. These two.
Regardless of how long either of them have been away from the public eye, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are the types of celebs that make us sick of them the second they return to it. We haven’t really considered either of these people in half a year, yet we look at these shots with the weariness of people who have been bombarded by press releases and pictures of the two of them for weeks now. It’s a peculiar talent they have. We’re telling you our feelings about them now so that when we trash their outfits, you’ll have a little context.
We hate everything. They’re big stupidheads.
Fine. We’ll try harder. He’s just okay. We like the suit and the shirt, but the jacket seems to be significantly too small on him, forcing him to pose with it unbuttoned, which instantly makes him look sloppier, especially since his tie is knotted too short. The stubble is a terrible choice for him. You’re just not that guy, Ryan. You’ve got an angular and lean face. Ignore the facial hair trends and go clean-shaven. It’s the best look for your bone structure.
As for her, we think wearing Chanel couture to your husband’s superhero movie “fan event” is just a tiny bit grandiose. Jenna Dewan Tatum and Jada Pinkett Smith are two celebu-ladies who have long mastered the art of looking very stylish on their spouses’ premiere red carpets while making sure they don’t look like they’re hogging the spotlight. You might want to take a page from their books, Blake. As a design, we find the dress a little silly-looking, to be honest. It’s juvenile in its choice of embellishments and colors, and somewhat random in its design choices. The bust is giving her uni-boob and the sleeve treatment just annoys us. In case it’s not clear, we pretty much don’t like anything about this choice of dress.
