Keke Palmer in Yousef Al-Jasmi at the People’s Choice Awards

Posted on January 07, 2016

“Scream Queens” and “Grease” actress and singer Keke Palmer attends the People’s Choice Awards 2016 in Los Angeles, California.

Miss Keke, we salute you. You clearly know what to do with a C-List awards show red carpet. As an ensemble player who’s had a good, but not quite career-defining year, you appear to have figured out the best way to show up for an event like this one, where every single non A-list star will be jockeying for position and camera time. Do you show up in a cute little cocktail dress or another princess gown? You do not. You show up in THIS:

And you work the shit out of it. Attagirl. It’s a total #BeMeorDoMe moment and as the originators of the term (which is now in wide usage all over the world, in every language imaginable, we imagine), we approve.

No, it’s not chic. We don’t even think we’d call it stylish. But as an attention-getter? Can’t be beat. And before you harrumph at us for praising this look consider this: nothing is sheer and we can’t see a bit of her undergarments. Respect.

EDIT: Okay, the top’s a little sheer – but at least we can’t see panty, right? That’s fresh.
