We want to, but we can’t Serena. If you’re gonna wear a sheer black dress – without a doubt, the biggest red carpet cliche of 2015 – then it better be a damn interesting one at this point. Or at least a damn gorgeous one.
This is, unfortunately just okay as a design. We could have lived with it, but the styling really falls down on the job. This needed more glitter in the jewelry and something a little edgier in the footwear. This also needed a much thinner belt situated slightly lower on the torso and hair up and off the shoulders. The combination of the long hair hanging in front, the thick belt, and her athletic build is totally altering the shape of the dress and even her own shape a little. She’s better showing her shoulders off rather than trying to camouflage them, which is how this styling comes across.
